Free virus protection, any that are good?

its weird, whenever i install Kaspersky, my internet connection seems to go extremely slow. Any idea why this happens??

I'd never use norton again, pain in the a**e.
I've been using the free AVG for years, and it's good for a free one.
Had an email the other day saying AVG will no longer be free from Jan 07.
So, it's either pay for it or try another free one.

So if its no longer going to be free and I download it now what will that mean? Will it not work without paying from then on, or will I get a year free from when I install?

No it will be free :rolleyes: the old version just wont be supported anymore as a new free release is out.
