We bought our kitchen from Wickes & we're going tomorrow to order our new bathroom. I have great faith in Wickes & trust them. We had a lovely kitchen from them and after almost 3 years it's still in perfect condition.I can't wait to have my new bathroom installed.
  • Hi there, I am in the same predicament. I have ordered a kitchen from tesco and paid a 20% deposit, they also want 100% payment once their surveyer has visited. It seems strange but as i am paying by credit card i know i am protected finantially also i feel i can trust tesco. I certainly wouldnt consider paying a small unknown firm upfront. My only concern is snagging if they finish the job with all of my dosh and I arnt happy, I wonder about how good they will be at coming back. Having said that I will be scouring their T &C 's to make sure everything is to my liking. I have ordered the genoa kitchen after looking and getting prices from all wickes homebase b & q aswell as local guysbut the kitchen i have settled on is top quality. I have bartered on price and so far the customer service has been exellent from tescos (I mean after the sales guy coz they have to be nice) I have spoken to mark 2 their distributers and made a few changes and nothing is too much bother....

We went with Ikea for ours - 0% finance, 3 for 2 on appliances etc etc - if we had to swap/change anything then the finance stayed the same and we got a store refund to rebuy.

I specifically went to them as I would not provide any full payments for anything like kitchens as it stands. You might also want to make sure they aren't going to hit you with a CC fee too.
