2 ADSL Modems on the same line

Having run into wireless problems between my wireless adsl modem and my wireless tv signal sender, I have realised I have a spare ADSL modem.
Therefore I am asking is it possible to connect 2 ADSL modems to the same line, with each modem connecting to its own computer/dial in.

No, not at the same time. Why not run an Ethernet cable from your router to the second PC? Blue text on this forum usually signifies hyperlinks, so click on them!..:wall:0

that was the main reason I have a wireless laptop/router
but because my mother-in-law wants to watch TV in the dining room and the lounge and the bedroom, she has the wireless airwaves all tied up.
as for leads, Im already using all 4 ports and leads arent ideal with toddlers running around"See you on the Other Side"0 -
it operates on the same band as wireless tv senders 2.4ghz, should still work together, try changing channels to limit the video interference.Ever get the feeling you are wasting your time? :rolleyes:0

what about a standard network router? 4 or 6 socket.
Run one lead from the broadband router to the std router and it'll sort out your broadband.
Plug the previous 4th connection from the broadband router into the new std. router.
Not sure whether the "bridging" cable needs to be crossover. Don't think so...depends on the router, I think.
Albatross's suggestion best though.
There's also the option of Mains networking where the network is operated through the electric.
I've seen it working and it's excellent.

I think chunter means "hub" or "network switch" rather than "standard router" or "std router". Hubs and switches link computers on the same network and routers link networks.
As for the cable to link a hub/switch to a router you *may* need a cross-over cable if either the router or hub/switch isnt auto-sensing the connection type.
Here is an example of a cheap switch that you could use to extend the number of ports you have and will work with both a cross-cover or straight through cat5 network cable.
Ooops. Forgot to mention that the extra router will work as a hub aswell. You'll need to make sure it isnt operating as a DHCP server and make sure that its IP doesnt clash with another device though.NURSE: "Shouldn't it be sterilized, doctor?"
