Megabus or Megatrain Half Term bargains
Evening All,
I just wanted to post because I'm so pleased that I saved a packet on a trip to london at half term, for me, my mate and her little boy. I followed the deals section and found the Megabus site. I've got a return to london from leicester for £26 for the 3 of us.
The timings of available trains were a bit later than we normally go for, but worth a longer day when you save a bundle.
The other bonus is that the megabus site is linked to T*sco Clubcard Rewards, only at double the value, but it means I got my ticket for £5 really. If you want to do this, then the clubcard reward site says email within 48hours but it comes through in about an hour. To be honest, I think many of us would rather spend vouchers and coupons rather than cash at the moment.
The only downer is that seats are not reserved on the train.
I then started trawling for Birmingham to Carlisle, and that is on for £3 one way, on Virgin trains.
Hoping it helps a few of you get away;)

Yep Megabus and Megatrain is very cheap and its great sitting on a train looking at everyone esle knowing you only paid a small price then they did and they even do £1 fares but you have to be fast to get them as they seem to only have 1 seat at that price on each coach or train.
Megabus is great.0
