Why dont you talk your options through with a disability advisor at the job centre?
Keratoconus is usually able to be corrected well enough to allow the patient to drive so I don't imagine that you will be able to receive many benefits for it?
ETA are you on benefits for mental health problems (i notice that stress is an issue, not something that I would associate with keratoconus)?
It would be helpful if you could provide a breakdown of which benefits you are on before people give advice on whether it's ok for you to do volunteer work/what sort of courses you could get funded.0
