Hi,
Can anyone recommend a good electric blanket, ideally one that has seperate controls for each side of the bed and is safe to sleep with it on during the night.
Thanks very much,

I have two, pld., both Dreamland, and worth checking for Safety Recalls before buying.
Dreamland EC70 is a double electric blanket with controls for each side of the bed, and subject to a recall back in 2001.
Buying cheap from a market might be risky.
Amazon do them.0 -
I have a Dreamland too, and recommend also. They tend to be longer than a lot of others, so the whole of your body is warmed, rather than having cold shoulders or feet. Argos stock quite a good range. Most EBs have safety cutouts these days, so they're safe to sleep on, and if they're doubles, they'll almost certainly have 2 controls.0

When choosing, check also whether it is a "fitted" type (with elasticated sides to fit the mattress like a fitted sheet) or if it needs tying.
We like the fitted ones but once we accidentally bought one which needed tying (the blanket was flat with eyelets around the edges and you had to fit a string through them and tie it around the mattress) - a real pain.
My parents once tried buying an electric overblanket in the hope that it would be safer. However, they didn't find it as effective and switched to an underblanket like we use.
BTW, we too have Dreamland and got them from Argos though ours are a few years old so probably not current models.0 -

I just bought a super underblanket from Morphy Richards, it's my first one & I'm a convert. RedonReds link will take you to their special offer page.0
