My sister has just been informed by the NFU that as she did not return the renewal documents BEFORE 14 days of the renewal date, the policy has been automaticaly renewed!
I have heard about a 14-day cooling off period to cancel; but surely you can't be expected to renew/not renew 14 days before the insurance expires, can you?

So even the NFU are at it now.
Make an official complaint, and threaten to complain to the FOS and the FSA, as they have broken the guidelines. You should get a complete refund.
Then report them to the FSA anyway, as this is a bad trend to let develop.0
