Phone keeps bleeping

I have two phones at home - the main one is a BT synergy 4500 and the second one is a BT Calypso 1100 phone up in the bedroom.
The problem I have is that the bedroom phone keeps bleeping every now and again - it's pretty load and often wakes up SWMBO who gets cross with me (obviously my fault as a) I bought the phone x number of years ago and b) it's electric therefore I should know all about it (I work in IT -web development ) and hence my responsibilty)
This bleeping seems to be entirely random
Does anyone have any suggestions as to what might be causing it?

Most likely the battery is running down & the base unit isn't charging it properly.0

Yep, I thought that and so replaced the batteries.
The phone shows full charge, but still does this random bleeping0 -
FWIW there are some reviews here:

which mention random bleeping. No solution though.Stompa0 -

Aha, so I am not the only one suffering from this - maybe I'll search the BT forums to see if there is any more info - thanks Stompa0

Its possible that an overnight testing regime is making the phone 'beep' when the line is picked up by the tester...this shouldnt happen and is probably a fault with the phone, you should be able to ask your CP to get your line removed from the overnight testing routine, but many CP's wont have a clue what you are talking about if you call them about this.
Sorry for sounding thick, but what is my CP?0 -
