so, i have a load of old, used trainers

as in the title really
i have a load of old, knackered trainers that, for some reason, haven't been thrown away.
i remembered on here a while back about these types of things being sold as 'gay interest' and it got me thinking about the kind of person who buys manky, falling apart trainers.
it then also got me thinking that rather than throwing my old shoes in the bin, about sticking them on ebay.
my dilemma is, do i really want to sell my property to the type of person who this would be aimed at? i mean, i have literally about 12/13 pairs of old trainers at the back of the wardrobe/in the hallway, but i don't know if i can do it. (btw, it's not that i'm disagreeing with anyone's lifestyle choice, far from it, but the image i have in my head of the kind of fruitbat buying these things is putting me off)
please, if you can, convince me otherwise

Who cares who buys them really. You are recycling old shoes so that's what counts. They'll get them from somewhere so you might as well make some money out of their fetish.I'd rather be an Optimist and be proved wrong than a Pessimist and be proved right.0

i understand that, but still turns my stomach a bit.
i might give it a test-run as soon as ebay up my listing limit
i'll report back with the findingshelpful tips

Wait till the next free listing dasy and bung them on - you've nothing to lose! I'm amazed sometimes at what people will actually bid on.XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX:wave:XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX0

I don't think it is specifically 'gay interest', the people who buy them to satisfy a particular fetish may be gay or straight?
As to selling them - something to think about is just as it 'turns your stomach' to think of selling them, so it may similarly affect the way your buyers think of you if they browse your listings looking for, say, a set of tea cups, and see a suggestive listing for 'well worn shoes' in amongst your auctionsSo you may want to list them in a batch on their own and make the auctions private....

If your going to go down this route i wouldn't use your main selling account as you may put off future customers who may not want to buy from a seller who sells for this Market. You also need to be careful how you list as you could risk your selling account.ebay wrote:<li class="unorderedList">All used clothing items should include a statement that the item has been properly cleanedebay wrote:Footwear listing can't include images that go above the knee or show the foot outside of the footwear. The listing must not mention the word 'fetish
Also remember all your customers can get your address and Telephone number. I have heard of people going down the selling used shoes line and getting some very strange phonecalls. I'm not saying this will happen but make sure your happy with this,0 -

What's all the fuss?
If you want their money do it, if it bothers you don't.
Simples.
Obviously you are going to get some 'strange' emails. You'll be making money out of sex (a sex fetish), what do you expect? If you can live with it do it, if not stay away.
Maybe you want someone who is not gay, does not have a shoe fetish, to buy your well worn shoes just because they feel like owning a pair.
I ain't gonna happen.0 -
Just asking for psycho stalkers, Not only do they have your smelly old goods but also your contact

If you start selling that kind of item, the chances are that those into this kind of thing will assume you are too, which could result in unwanted contact. _pale_
Unless it'll make you big money, is it really worth the time, trouble and having to deal with weirdos ... and give them your name, email address and home address?"The secret of life is honesty and fair dealing.
