Sky+ Box - Is it ok to turn it off overnight?

Hi Everyone,
I've had a Sky+ box in my bedroom for a few months now and lately it's got even noisier than usual. It was making so much noise a few nights ago that I couldn't sleep and just got exasperated and turned it off at the wall. When I turned it on again in the morning it seemed fine and the fan wasn't so noisy so I was wondering if any techie experts in here could tell me if it would be ok or not to just turn it off overnight all the time?? Obviously I don't want to be doing it if it could cause any damage!! Thanks for any info.
