Its common knowledge to check the receipts before eaving the store, i dont have a problem following this through

This was probably the ONLY time I didn't! Normally I'm so careful and scrupulously check the amount I'm signing/PIN'ing for. It must have been because they were so busy that day and I had already been waiting an age to be served I just wanted to be served and anxious to get away and do the rest of my shopping ;)
  • I went in today and explained at the refund/returns desk what had happened and they refunded my money absolutely no problem :) They didnn't even do a check through the system or anything (this would have taken time of course), so I'm very happy.
Thanks for the encouragement to go in!!!!!!!

I had the same situation with Tesco's and they scanned a DVD twice (£20 a piece) when i went back, they refunded both amounts!

Brilliant Daisygirl,I used to work for Tesco and we could usually tell people trying it on.People could be double scanned and would be respectfully and apologetically refunded.Sadly it's the dishonest who make life awkward for honest folk but as a rule we always erred on the customers side :)
