Yes, it's lovely. My brother and sister-in-law held their reception there in April last year. Everywhere is clean and comfortable, the only thing is that as it's 16th Century the foors are quite small, which isn't ideal when you're 6'6"!

Very close to Ironbridge Gorge for walking / shopping in a very pictureqsue high street, or Telford if charm and beautiful architecture aren't your thing :-p
  • Thanks OP and MK for alerting me to this place. The location (lakeside etc) looks great. If you can get a Focus Real Deal room the value is superb.

'The Focus Real Deal allows you to Stay, Eat and Drink for as little as £40.00 per person*
All this is included in your price
    • Overnight accommodation
    • Full English Breakfast
    • 3 Course evening meal
    • Half a bottle of House Wine'
*Not surprisingly, they say there are a limited number of such rooms, and prices vary at different times, but still ....:

Have made more than a mental note for future use!

Yes I think that's what we had for the night before the wedding. Food was very good and wine seemed plentiful (it was a full family occasion for us - 9 people at table I seem to remember so I may have drunk more than my "fair share" of the wine!).

Just stoop down a lot, it won't hurt too much for a day or two. :rotfl:
