    It's a 1967 Morris Minor. The courtesy car is also a Morris Minor and a few years newer than my own, about 1969 I'd say.

    I may know the answer to this one. Been there with my dads Moggy a few years ago.

    Firstly, there was a batch of faulty rotor arms made. My old man went through four before finding one that fitted OK. Two of them came from a motor factors near Northampton where he bought the car and it first broke down on the way back. Third one came from a motor factors in my town and the last one from a motor factors in his town.

    If its not that, its probably the distributor.

    as hammyman says , could be the rotor but sounds like the condenser to me

  • It's not possible to identify the cause of the problem based on the scant infiormation from the OP - it's either a fuel or ignition problem, but that's about it.
    It is true that some of these re-manufactued rotor arms are complete cr*p, and fail very soon.
