Hi, i was wondering how do the DWP figure out how much they can lend you?

    I heard they will only lend you £350 if you're single.

    Is there nowhere with actual figures? for how much you can apply for when you are single, couple, with child etc?

    The maximum amount for a single person is £348, for a couple £464 and for a family £812. The total social fund debt you can have is £1,500. This includes other social fund debt such as crisis loans.

    when i applied for a budgetin loan last year we were allowed up 800 pound that was for a family of 5
