The above link talks about it being enforceable by CEOs. However this only applies (outside Greater London) if a TRO is in place for said dropped kerb.

I don't think councils do TROs for individual dropped kerbs

Not sure who dropped our curb but they painted it without me asking too so that was nice :)

I have a similar problem but am not disabled. i live near a hospital and regularly come home form work to find doctors/nurses/visitors parked in my designated car parking space. All houses in the street have a car port with their number on but this doesnt stop people. I just write a quick note and it seems to stop them doing it again-until the next person comes along!!

I do, however, sympathise with the staff as they shouldnt have to pay to park at work, they stil shouldnt park in my space though!!
  • I was under the impression that the only enforceable road markings relating to parking were yellow ones. I seem to have read somewhere about failed court cases because bays, lines, etc were painted in white.

The good news .. the car has gone , the bad news its been replace by a long wheel base high top transit van tonight ! The good news , it belongs to a company with the phone number all over it , so if it keeps being parked outside, (now i have no view either , its dark blue !) i will ring the company and explain the situation. None of my neighbours know who it belongs too , so maybe someone has got a new job ? If that is the case i dont want to get them into trouble , i will stay polite on the phone and hopefully it will get moved.
