Savings Accounts in Switzerland

Hi,
it would be great if someone could help me out here.
I am a swiss citizen but live in the UK.
I have a savings account with a bank in switzerland - but the interest rates are so terrible with every bank I have tried there. the best I can find is 2%.
My savings are in francs so if anyone knows a good savings account without having to change currency, please let me know
thank you
Michael

You would only be able to have savings in Euros, US Dollars or Pounds Sterling at a UK bank... you're best off leaving your savings where they are unless you're willing to make the change to a different currency.
The best rates are generally in Sterling savings accounts... US$ and € accounts generally have paltry interest rates unless you have large sums of money to save, and such accounts are generally "off-shore" accounts run by subsidiaries of UK banks.
I would imagine it also depends on your residential status in the UK - if you're here for the long-term, you might be best off converting some or all to GBP and looking at the top-rated savings account reccommended by MSE.0 -
In fact 'savings' accounts are available (Citibank UK for example) in:techno_geek wrote:You would only be able to have savings in Euros, US Dollars or Pounds Sterling at a UK bank... .
Swiss Franc, Japanese Yen, New Zealand Dollar, Australian Dollar, Canadian Dollar, Singapore Dollar, Swedish Krona, Hong Kong Dollar.
However, interest rate on Swiss Francs and Yens is ..... 0%:D - even on balances above £175K . For other exotic currencies maximum interest rate is just 0.75% ...0 -
thank you both for your replies,
I am getting about 1.5% interest at the moment in a swiss bank- so maybe I should just be content with this.
thanks0
