latest an IPOQ likely to be issued?

Okay, now I appreciate that I can be given an IPA at anytime, right up until I'm discharged, but in terms of them sending out an IPOQ to reassess income/expenditure (on the assumption of thats what they are now going to do before AD) whats the latest this is likely to be sent out? I'm assuming they have to allow time for you to recieve it, then 14 days for cooling off and time to process it, all before the AD date? so possibly no later than 4-5 weeks before auto discharge?

That's probably about right Welsh

Our AD was August 19, my DH got one of these sent out on July 9, so yes roughly 5 weeks before AD.
I would imagine any later than that they may be pushed for time getting it set up before AD.0 -
Thanks both. I'm curious as to whether the policy of getting BR's to do an IPOQ just before discharge is indeed being enforced more heavily? Apparently it was already something that they did but only in a % of cases.
Has anyone (who didn't have an IPA) and became AD since the rule change in Dec 2010 or is shortly due to be AD get an IPOQ form for a last minute re-assessment?0 -

I had to send in a new I&E form a couple of months ago due to a change of job and income. Still had a tiny surplus, and have not received any IPA request and I've got just over 2 weeks to go to AD.
Mind you, I deal with a Trustee, not the OR any more.VSP Challenge 2014 #??? - £9.970 -

with your news that everyone was now going to get an IPOQ before discharge ..and thats why I was wondering if anyone else who's due to get auto discharged had gotten an IPOQ letter recently too. I guess I'm trying to figure if there has definately been a new push by the IS on issuing IPOQ (in the hopes of an IPA) just before discharge, or whether you situation was a more isolated incident. 0 -
Oh dear, sorry.
I'd say its not going to be resolved just yet, then. But maybe if or when you find out, we all might have more of a clue?
Can start the big countdown in days now. Its unbelievable

Hey onward, got luck with the AD, sounds as if its unlikely with only two weeks left. To be honest, I was thinking more about BR's who haven't had a change in circumstances (and don't have IPA's) just receiving an IPQO out of the blue close to AD. When the rule changes were annouced in late Nov, my first thoughts were that it was a way to grab more money for the IS dept and they might suddenly re-assess all the people that didn't get an IPA because their surplus was less than £100, hoping to catch a lot of people (before they get discharged) now that its only £20. NoHope's OR suggested that all BR's would now get an IPOQ before discharge, but it turns out this was already the rule, but only applied to a % of cases .. also, there hasn't been a sudden influx of posts from other people saying they've gotten letters so I'm wondering whether there actaully was anything issued by the IS officially to push on IPOQ before discharge or whether this was just the words and opinion of one OR office?I had to send in a new I&E form a couple of months ago due to a change of job and income. wlitc, try not to worry too much. I know its easy to say and it is a worry. I know it came as a real shock to receive my xmas present, out of the blue, but its always at the back of your mind that something will happen , before you are discharged.
The sad thing is, i still live from day to day, and you can never predict theres going to be 20p, let alone £20 surplus, at the end of the month, when in real terms, i don't have an end of the month, as i still live from day to day, waiting for pay to arrive.Debt free - Is it a state of mind? a state of the Universe? or a state of the bank account?

Hi,
Both me and DH are due AD in the middle of march. He had a IPOQ in november which he sent back and has heard nothing since and i have never had one even though we are both working.
I've been stressing about it all too.....i just want it out of the way.
Fingers crossed x0
