whats the best credit card for a fair/average

credit rating. been knocked back by virgin today. need it for 0% to do a balance transfer. dont want to keep getting knocked back as it would effect credit rating further.

    Does your bank (the one that receives your salary) offer a 0% BT card?

    Have you checked your credit report to see what lenders see when they search you?

    Are you applying for cards from the same stable as cards you already hold (MBNA run many cards)?

    Have you closed down cards as you're debt has been reduced/paid off?
  • What is your income per year, limit on credit cards and how much do you owe on them? Have you had any missed or late payments?
