He's lovely, reckon he's a good old short-hair moggie. Why do you think thathe is a 'breed'? Most people's cats are moggies, and very lovely they are too! (apologies if he is a she... can't tell from your photo)

Can't help you on the breed but just want to say what a cutie! :)

  • Domestic Short Hair - Black & White - moggy like 90%+ of the cat population. Very cute though :)
  • Normal domestic mog - perfect for all important clothing as the black hairs are magnetically attracted to the most expensive white clothes, whilst the white hairs are inseparable from the priciest dark clothing.

Sometimes, I think they are nicknamed tuxedo cats, as they look like they have suits on. (but don't quote me on that)

Thanks everyone, the better half is pressing me to name a breed! Should post in here more, but the odd sad thread really upsets me.

WHY does your OH want a breed? If it's to do the insurance, all (I think) have "moggy" on there. That's what our two are down as (we're pretty sure they're 50% maine coon or norwegian forest - they're huge and floofy and tufty), we did "experiment" with "mixed domestic longhair" and it came up at £2 per month more expensive...
We may not have it all together, but together we have it all

My black and white was a BSM (bog standard mog). Used to amuse the vet when i put it on their forms.
Your cat is a real beauty.
Find out who you are and do that on purpose (thanks to Owain Wyn Jones quoting Dolly Parton)
