Help with family Honeymoon on cruise

Hi I was hoping that you helpful people would be able to advise me on how to get the best deal on a cruise. We are first time cruisers and are in our early 30's, we are getting married :j on the 27th May and are looking for a family holiday to the carribean with our 4 year old daughter, that's why we thought about a cruise as we hear that the childrens clubs are excellent on the cruise ships. We have heard alot of good things about the Royal Carribean so this would preferbly be first choice. We are looking for a cruise preferbly for 14 nights or perhaps less nights and to spend a couple of nights at disneyland if possible:T
Also is it better to book now for a better deal or is it better to wait nearer the time?? Looking forward to your replies :rotfl:

First, decide what type of cruiseline you want.....formal (eg RCCL), freestyle (eg NCL) or casual (eg OV). If youre going off-peak, theres generally good deals, especially if you book cruise only thru an American travel agent eg vacations-to-go, but you run the risk of not getting what you want. UK TAs like cruise.co.uk and gills cruise also mailshot offers regularly.
Most cruiselines offer a cruise and stay eg a week in the Caribbean followed by a week in Orlando.illegitimi non carborundum0 -
Disney cruise ship!!! Its fab. We went for our honeymoon (no kids) then went back when our little girl was 2 and took our parents. It is so magical and there is something for everyone. We stayed at Disneyworld first then they organise the coach to the cruise. I dont know of any special offers though. It was a supposed to be a once in a lifetime trip for our honeymoon but we had to go back. We now another child and have to take him otherwise it would not be fair!!!
We crusied around the caribean and also went to Disneys private island for the day. I could rave on about it for ever! Have a look on DIBB website. Its an english site for Disney world fans and has lots of tips on it.0 -
yes royal caribbean are great. i have been on one cruise last october and booked another for 2007. every year i booked holidays with kids clubs and my two girls (12 and 9) are never keen but this year on RCI they met friends and always wanted to go. what a great programme they had and supervised and you signed them in and signed them out so great and secure0

After marrying this year and going on honeymoon with children, make sure you pick an holiday with a decent childrens club.
It's so much fun for them to go off to the club and join in with other children, and it gives you some time with just the two of you so you can do the usual honeymoon activities
Here I go again on my own....0
