Mine has to be my laptop, it keeps me entertained during the day using the radio stations available on the internet rather than me having to buy a DAB radio, I also use it as a tv, dvd and cd player. Plus I use it for email to keep in contact with my friends saving money on my phone bill and stamps.

Also am very thankful for my hair clippers. They are used every month on the OH and have had them about 4 years now. In return for cutting his hair, my OH dyes my hair for me, saving me money also.
Remember never judge someone that makes a mistake, because in six months time it may be you that makes the next mistake.

I got one of these from a pound shop.
I use it to keep track when in the supermarket, one click per pound. Its not as precise as a calculator, but lots more discreet cos it never needs to leave my pocket.

and another problem with keeping track by calculator is that if you dont press any button for a few minutes that the power turns off and then you have to start again :-( even the M function on most calculators is cancelled when the power switches off.

The way I do this is to use the calculator on my mobile. Very handy as most people have a mobile, already have it with me in my pocket so no extra gadget to carry, and power does n't switch off like you said for a normal calculator. And you can calculate to the penny.
