Hi All
My property is placed on the market at a good price it had been on for 9 months.
I am thinking about using a joint agency. i am thinking this this may help my property with a wider audience as its currently on with a local one.
Can you let me know how i go about finding the best one that advertises on the most property websites ect?
Thanks in advance

If your present agent is already advertising on Rightmove etc what is the point of using another agent just to get more website presence?
People will see two adverts for the same property one below the other and conclude that you are desperate!
In the old days when most people went round estate agents' offices they all grouped together in the same streets so that potential buyers would find them. Then in some cases if your property straddled the catchment areas of agents branch offices it was worth using one in one location and one in another - but if buyers look on the internet they will see both together.
Also if you are looking at joint rather than multi-agency then your present agent has got to agree so will want to suggest who the other agent is.RICHARD WEBSTER
As a retired conveyancing solicitor I believe the information given in the post to be useful assuming any properties concerned are in England/Wales but I accept no liability for it.0 -
I went multi agency when my house was not selling.I was with an EA in our local city belonging to the Countrywide chain who didn't seem to be getting me viewings so I chose a more local EA with a few offices in the adjoining counties to try and get coverage in new offices. This EA also produced a fortnightly paper that was delivered free to several thousand houses. The new agent created a deal of interest but as if by magic so did the first EA who did eventually claim their not inconsiderable fee. It seemed to me that going multi agency gave the first agent a kick up the backside.0

If it's not attracting interest either the agnt is no good or the price is wrong.
Why not either reduce the price and/or switch to another sole agency?0 -
Thank you for your replys, it does help.
My current estate agent is a good honest one and i actually asked if they think i should reduce again (i have already reduced once) they informed me that they feel that the asking price is good already its just finding the right buyer, we have had about 9 viewings in 9 months and its been under offer once but the person is waiting for funds and it could take a long time so we had to put it back on.
My estate agent actually told me to use another agent (Any but Darlows) but pick carefully to ensure they advertise on zoopla findaproperty ect.0 -

Take their recommendation for the other agent and see what deal you can negotiate about fees.RICHARD WEBSTER
