JSA Benefit - free dentaL WORK

I went on JSA in July 2010 and had some dental treatment. My dentist said that even if i went back to work, my free treatment was valid for 6 months. After 2 months i signed off in order to stay with my sick mother for 6 weeks. I then had some more dentaL treatment which was a continuation of the previous treatment. I did not work or re-sign on, now i have been handed a bill that i have been told to pay. Is this right, my dentist told me the benefit would last for 6 months, and this was all within the 6 month period. thanks

Is this the same dentist? Have you queried it and told them what you were told last time?
    How to find a dentist.
    1. Get recommendations from friends/family/neighbours/etc.
    2. Once you have a short-list, VISIT the practices - dont just phone. Go on the pretext of getting a Practice Leaflet.
    3. Assess the helpfulness of the staff and the level of the facilities.
    4. Only book initial appointment when you find a place you are happy with.

as far as i am aware......... if you had work done that was included in the consultaion done when you were eligbable for free treatment....
all the work is free regardless of a change in circumstances as funding was applied for based on the initial consultation
    if that makes sense lol

any unfinished work can be completed free of charge, but no additional work can.

I though if the initial treatment was free you were only covered for that treatment free. Same as with paying band 2 covers x fillings within 6 months, so if you went back and hadn't had full quota you could have another filling but need a crown and you pay the next band?
