Police Auction

Does anyone know anything about this seller. The site offers goods at incredible prices without any postage payable but no details are available as far as I can see about who the seller is. It seems too good to be true - can anyone comment. It seems to offer retrieved stolen goods and bankrupt stock, etc.

Are you talking about a particular website Scruffyone ? Have you got a link or web address, would love to have a look if there are bargains to be had.
  • Just ebay and search for your item - monitors, phones, books. Can't be more helpful but it is recognisable as it states police auction - states a buy now price.

All they're selling is info on when and where police auctions are held - scam.

Why's that a scam? I've seen these listings, they say exactly what they are and the price. If people want to pay for that information it's upto them, having said that it's fairly common to see it for sale for 1p!
  • Sorry this is my misunderstanding I thought this was the price of the item not for the information of the auction. I have misled everyone so no further action is necessary. Thanks to all who replied - I should have read the site more carefully before I posted this.
  • I have a friend that got caught out on that last week, he thought that he had bought one of the latest phones out £200 plus for £12.99 and that's not all he bought 2 and when he realise it was just an email with a list of where the police auctions are, he was gutted to say the least. Live and learn, but please read the listing carefully, usually it's in small letters at the bottom saying that the auction is for an e-book but this one was quite obvious it was even in the title but he just saw the pic of the phone and the BIN price.
  • Try this site you wont have to buy it then

If it doesn't fit, force it; if it breaks, it needed replacement anyway
Sarcasm helps keep you from telling people what you really think of them

If the auction is listed in, say, the a mobile phone category, and it's just an ebook, the listing can be reported for being in an incorrect category.
