Ooh that's a great idea - I already have a signature for amazon and ebay, I might just add GM to that too!miss_angie1 wrote:I went to do my charity shop and library scout this morning and picked up a couple of titles which I hope will be good sellers and have listed them on both GM and Amazon. Need to source some more books, any ideas of where to get them very cheap/preferably FREE??
Freecyle is a good place, some people don't like it ethically but as long as the person knows about it, they are usually just looking to get rid of stuff and don't care where it goes.
Bootsales - you can pick up some books for 5-10p that would be good
And then there is ebay. I got a huge lot of 2000 books a while back, have sold all the good ones on ebay, the rest is for GM, still got some to list, they only cost 10p each.My darling boy born December 20110 -

Am I being a bit sad here? Getting excited about covering challenges
NOTE to self - Get out more!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well done for getting so many free books, freecycle?

I don't want to tread on any toes here, but I think you'll find books shift much faster on Amazon than they do on Green Metropolis. I've had some that have been very hard to shift, I've listed them on both sites and they always, always go on Amazon first. Green M is annoying, it works on a queue system - there's a queue for each quality-category for each book. You might be first in the queue, you might be 1276th.....at least on Amazon you know where you stand!
Why are you restricting teh challenge to just Green M? I think you'd all have a lot more luck if you listed them on both sites....
just a thought!0 -
I know what you're saying, and I agree that Amazon is more likely to shift books, but I have now sold two books on GM, and none on amazon, and I have the same books listed in both places."I have enough money to last me the rest of my life, unless I buy something."0

I've saved the Wish List from GM into an Excel doc which I will print off (It is huge though!!) to take with me when I'm on the hunt for books to sell. If anyone wants a copy PM me your email address and I will send it to you. No sales as yet this month but I'm still very positive I will get some sales soon. I've also been doing a big spread the word drive too.My mantra is "Never pay full price!"

Hehe - great minds think alike! I was just about to post that I'd done the same! I've also taken out the 1300 double entries (a bit mind numbing but it's cut the list down by about a third...
Congrats on selling the book!
