Help re getting a divorce and entitlements?

Hi, about to split from my husband and it's very amicable (long story!) but he is going to try and pay for the mortgage whilst renting another flat somewhere.

Question is, would this effect any possible benefits? I am on a low income and work 3 days a week and have two primary age children.

Is the mortgage on your home a joint one? Is there any equity in the property?

Yes, it's under joint names, might be some equity there too.

Currently if you work 16 hours a week or more, and are earning below £15k (I think - double check the income thresholds) you will qualify for

    Child Benefit

    Working Tax Credi

    Child Tax Credit

It matters not who pays your mortgage.
