The Pill

I am a week into taking this month's pill allocation and wonder if anyone knows if I stop the pill today, would this muck up my monthly cycle (usually regular as clockwork even when not on the pill) or do I wait until I have my monthly in february. I would like to start trying soonest. Previously I fell straight away and wonder if I stop today then I have at least a month and then hopefully try properly. Any opinions.

When we decided to start trying for our first I stopped the pill about 10 days or so into the cycle. Had a period about 2 weeks later, conceived the month after.
For the second and third I just didn't start a new pack and each time conceived that month

Dont think it really matters when you stop taking your pill, as you will have a "withdrawal bleed", you are really supposed to wait until your first real period before trying - think this is only to give docs a good indication of when your due :)

You can stop it whenever you want - you will get your usual period but just be aware that this isn't an actual period, it's the hormones from the pill being released from your body, so can sometimes be a bit of wait for your 'real' periods to start up again after this.

Agreed. It took me 3 months of being off the pill to conceive both times I have. And I could definitely tell a real period from a pill period IYSWIM?
