Credit Card Balance Transfer Question

Hi Guys,
Just managed to get the Barclay Card 17 month 0% BT offer.
I am transferring balance from Capital One.
I work away from home a lot and pay my expenses up front and claim back from my employer monthly so I am generally out of pocket.
With the new card I have got, is it possible for me to use it for my expenses (food, fuel etc) alongside my interest free balance transfer?
eg if my BT is £2000 and I were to spend £500 on expenses. I would divide the £2000 by 17 to get an average monthly payment that I would use for the BT (£117 in the example)
As long as I paid off the £500 then I wouldnt get charged interest on anything? In addition I would pay the £117 to keep within the amount I wish to pay pm for the BT.
Am I right ir talking nonsense?
Thanks

Yes it is possible but you will pay interest on your purchases.
You only get an interest-free priod on purchases if you pay off your ENTIRE BALANCE each month (including the BT).Warning: In the kingdom of the blind, the one-eyed man is king.
