Balance transfer - any bright ideas?

Hi
Have been stupid and wondered if anyone can help with my predicament?
I wanted to transfer the balance of my Egg card (£3440) to Barclaycard. So I went on to Barclaycards website, and tried to do the transfer - got right through to the end but it said there was an error. So I tried again, this time it said I could only transfer £2000 - i thought that must have been the problem, I transferred only £2k this time and it went through fine. Went back to the statement page to discover that BOTH transfers went through . I immediately sent Barclaycard a secure message to inform them of the error and could they please ensure that only the first transfer is done.
However, Bcard said they can't stop balance transfers once they've started. I tried calling them to get them to recall it, but they were no help at all. I tried calling Egg to ask them to return it but they say its up to Bcard. Tried asking Bcard again - they again said no.
So, the upshot is that I am £2k in credit on my Egg card. I could of course use this for my regular spending and pay the card from my bank account but this will take months of faffing about! I wondered if anyone had any ideas?
Thanks in advance

Ask for a refund of the credit from Egg.0

Thanks, good idea. I 'll give that a go and see what they say.0

Egg should give you a free refund into your debit card account. It will take between 2 hours - 2 w.days! Then you can use this to make an immediate payment onto your Barclay card.0

Thanks very much, don't know why I didn't think of it!0
