Buyer wants to cancel amazon order - Help Please

Hi hope you can help me.
I sold an item on amazon this morning and emailed the buyer telling him that it would be despatched today. So I parcelled it up and went out for the day.
Whislt I was in the queue for the post office to post the item my partner phoned me and told me that I had an email from the buyer saying that he wanted to cancel the order. So I ended up bringing the package home with me.
Firstly Can a buyer just decide to cancel because he has found the item cheaper elsewhere and if so how do I go about it.
Any help most appreciated.

Amazon is slightly different to EBay and it is best just to refund and relist. There is no point on causing a stir as all you will get is a bad feedback. It costs you nothing anyway so you don't really lose out (apart from the sale). Best just to gracefully refund and mutter under your breath.0

better cancelled now than saying they want refund once you`ve delivered.
You lose nothing (amazon amend their fees to you).
Relist and don`t sell to rhis person again. When things in life start to weigh heavy on your shoulders, and people all around are having a go, just smile and think.......Fxxk em!0 -
thanks Hintza - thanks for the advise - wasnt sure if you lost the fees etc. I am so annoyed because I presume that other people like me would check availability of an item elsewhere first before ordering something.
Now about to refund and mutter under breath for a few minutes.
Love the avatar by the way
