Yes - my brother in law has a flat for work in the New Gorbals, as he is based in Glasgow though lives in the Lake District, and this is the fourth year we have had a pre-Christmas shopping girlie weekend. We love it and Glasgow is a lovely city, nicely modernised with beautiful buildings. I was well impressed the times I have visited. My friend from school lives up there too, but near Linlithgow, so I take the chance to get together with her as well whilst I am up there. Really looking forward to it.

My daughter is a student there and loves it, she lives at Drygate and it is a lovely place. Glasgow people are friendly and the shops are great. Ive been over there about a dozen times in the last 2 years and have always had a really good time. Three cheers for Glasgow!!!:beer:

If you go to Glasgow with any kiddies, I would thoroughly recommend the Glasgow Science Centre. It's fantastic and one of the best days out for kids. I think you can get tickets with Mr T's Clubcard points too but don't quote me on that

If anyone travels through central station, go to the money exchange at the main entrance and check out the Glasgow city card, hopefully this will give some ideas, and save you a bit of money
