Hello

My son is set up on XBox live, he paid a subscription charge and my bank card details are recorded somewhere on their system. I'd like to remove my card details but we don't know where to look. I've tried looking but obviously not found the right place.

Can anyone tell me how to remove my card details - I'm quite keen to sort this ASAP as my cousin's xbox account has been hacked and she has been billed for about £200 over one day.

Best way is probably UK Xbox Support – Telephone: 0800 587 1102

• Press 1 – Xbox 360 support menu
• Then press 1 – For Xbox Live including billing enquires menu
• Then press 2 – For the cancel or enquire about your account menu
• Finally press 1 – To speak to someone about cancelling your Xbox Live subscription

Actually the only way to deal with anything about your xbox account is over the phone with M$, which is rather annoying..

They might give you the third degree about it, but insist that you want it removed.

Just an update - I have cancelled over the phone, but I couldn't believe it, they really really tried to stop me. They told me the only way to delete my credit card was to cancel the subscription - but my son had paid for a year. They told me I would lose the remaining 6 months.

I told him this was absolutely not acceptable. The guy tried pursauding me by saying if anyone 'hijacked' the account, they would investigate and would do a full refund. I stuck to my guns saying this was not acceptable - the last thing I want is someone running up huge debts on my card - only to wait in the hope that it gets refunded :eek:

Eventually the guy agreed to cancel the subscription and he would honour the unexpired time by sending me 6 different monthly codes for my son to enter so he could continue plaing.

What a pallarvour! Feel happy that my card details are no longer on their system
