Hi, has anybody here had there landlines ported before?
i was told it should be done by the end of the working day (yesterday), and its still not happened
I had a VOIP line (business line)
and a VM landline
The VOIP line number is being ported to the VM Line
If you call the business number it makes a ringing sound and then goes to the VM voicemail but nothing actually rings,
But if u call the landline number it rings as normal
I told VM, they didn't seam interested and just told me to wait, i need my business number back up and running,
If vm have managed to mess this up, they will be leaving the building very quickly

I've ported from cable to BT in the past - very different to your situation - but it all occurred same day, number only out of action for a couple of hours at most.0

yer i have a felling something gone wrong somewhere! its exactly the same process the guy said, just a case of them releasing it, and then virgin accepting it and reswitching it, but half the calls are going to the old voip phone and half are going to a non existent virgin line!
We got rid of our personal line, and just keeping the business line, and it works a bit more expensive with virgin, but i like the idea of having a proper line, like if the internet ever goes down you have to rely on mobiles, but if virgin mess this up, ill have to get rid of virgin cas we don't use the personal line any more!0
