Do supermarkets replace bags for life for free?

My Tesco only replaces the plastic bags for life but refused to swop the thicker ones.0

A "bag for life" is the standard 10p Plastic one. Most supermarkets (and a few other shops too) these days offer their own versions. Other shopping bags aren't part of the scheme.

Unfortunately like the poster above with the milk, mine got covered in fruit smoothie so need replacing. A waist is a terrible thing to mind.0 -
As far as i know they do replace although we havent tested it yet as we have various bags for life from various supermarkets eg iceland(first ones we had) sainsburys, tescos, lidl, aldi0
