Do supermarkets replace bags for life for free?

I'm sure I read somewhere that supermarkets replace your bags for life for free when they get worn out. Is this true? A few of mine have developed holes big enough for all but the biggest items of shopping to fall out of.
Most of my bags for life are from Tesco, would they replace them for free? Would other supermarkets replace Tesco bags for life? I was just curious if anyone knew before I go out and buy several more. Thanks in advance if anyone knows. :money:

Hi
Don't know about the other supermarkets but Tesco will definitely change your bag for life. I usually mention about the wear and tear when I am at the till and the sa simply changes them.

They won't renew a different supermarkets bags! I had some mainly tesco but also asda and when I needed to replace them all they pointed out the ones that were from the other supermarket (and they wouldn't exchange).A waist is a terrible thing to mind.0
