Natwest CC - Payment hierachy (effective date) confusion

Options
Hi,

I recall receiving a Notice of Variation for my Natwest CC some time in November, but have misplaced it.

I can't find the notice, but recall (from memory) that the new payment hierachy will be on 1 January 2011. However, on the story "Credit Card Payment Trap ends" it says "RBS/Natwest: January (dependent on statement date)".

Which is correct? My Natwest CC statement date is usually 23rd of each month - do I get to benefit from this new hierachy or not, if I make my payments now?

Thanks!

It probably means the new hierarchy will apply from the first statement date after 1st Jan 2011. From what you have said, this would mean it applies to any payments made after 23 Jan 2011 (or whatever date your January statement is issued).
