Hello,
I need to get 4 new tyres for my Vectra - to replace with Goodyears that are currently on im looking at over £500. Id like to get this cheaper but also dont want some cacky tyre.
Looked on Blackcircles and there are tons of cheaper versions but ive not heard of most - ie Nexen.
Tyre size is 215/50W17. Of those available are any worth considering?
Thanks in advance

Falken 912s seem to be fairly well thought of but I've never used them so cannot comment personally.
I have used Uniroyal Rainsport 2 and do rate them, but they are a good bit more expensive.
At your size I would try the Falkens, but have you tried a local place to see what they can do? They can often beat the prices on the internet and will be able to recommend something.

I have compared tyres in depth, I have come to the conclusion they are all black and round.
There are of course a couple of exceptions i have seen some that are square at the bottom
And some with painted sides. :T
Check the sites already mentioned, Blackcircles, Etyres, Mytyres, C-Tyres. Google them as spellings may be different for the website addresses. Missing a couple but brain not working Google will find them.
After you have got an online price phone a few of the smaller tyre dealers and see if they can match them.
Falken 452's and 912's do seem to get decent reports for cheaper tyres.Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0 -
You can get Kumho Solus KH17 in that size and they're a good tyre -I'm using them on a Polo (different size obviously).
Mytyres show them at £85.900 -

Got myself 4 x Avon ZV5 for £84 each fitted..... Go see your local INDEPENDENT tyre dealer, much cheaper than online.
Oh I drive a Vectra C“I may not agree with you, but I will defend to the death your right to make an a** of yourself.”

Thank you all - some really usefull info.
I think ive narrowed it down then to:
4 x Falken at £335
or
4 x Nexen at £320
What would you go for?
Ive called a few local tyre places and they cant get anywhere near these kind of prices0 -
