If she explains her situation to her local homelessness office, they may be able to offer her assistance. Also social landlords (housing associations, RSTA's) offer a points based system on which her needs are assessed, which is usually a lot more affordable than a private rental and can be handy if the job falls through, as so many are nowadays. Try and get her on as many housing registers as possible as nowadays we have choice based lettings, not a waiting list so you express interest in properties you want to live in and then it goes off need.

    Hope it helps
  • Its sad that she alone handle this critical situation, she should contact to local homeless office for a better assistance, until she got 25.
    used mobile
  • Can she look for a house share or lodgings? Lodgings especially are usually cheaper and include most bills.

Imagine someone holding forth on biology whose only knowledge of the subject is the Book of British Birds, and you have a rough idea of what it feels like to read Richard Dawkins on theology: Terry Eagleton
  • Room in a house for £50 a week or something is the way to go.

Yes thats the way I'm encouraging her to go now, her main problem is the shortage of acommodation near her work, as its smack bang in the countryside - hopefully something will pop up.

Thanks for all your replies :)
