Potterton Performa 28 Hot water only works when central heating is on

Are having problems with our Potterton Performa 28 CHB. It only heats the tap hot water when the CH is on. When the CH is off or turned down there is no hot water. I suspect it will be tricky to diagnose and fix from what I have read.

Cannot ask original installer as he is retired so am thinking of using Potterton's after sales HeatTeam. Anyone used them and also how much do they charge (it is out of warranty).

    Sounds like the DHW diaphragm.

About £10-£15 part and minimum call out to fix, so around £80-£90.
