Mouk - Ask them which Ideal boiler they are installing - theres loads of them!! The new Ideal is very good, much better than the other models which warmfront used to fit, and doesnt have as many problems with the pcb. They do fit other makes, but it can be a struggle as Eaga are under a lot of pressure to keep the costs down, particularly with the grant funding being cut. You may find that they will if you insist but you may have to pay the difference in the cost of the boiler

going to ring them up again and find out and was also
wondering if they give me an vailant instead???

We had an old Vailant combi, at least 18 years old, and applied for a grant. The survey was done and we were given a date for installation. They rang to ask if they could deliver the friday before, and I was gobsmacked when I came home to find a new Vailant in the dining room, waiting to be fitted. I presume it was because the vailant plumbing is the same for both boilers as it has not been modified.

I went to work at 08:00 and when I came back at 15:40, thnks to a sparky, 3 plumbers, 2 builders and a supervisor, it was all done. The only thing we had to wait for was the powerflush a couple of days later.

    Thank you Warmfront.
