Leaking Washing Machine

I'm not sure if it's leaking from the hoses at the back, if so is there a sealant i can get like you put around baths etc or can i use the same thing?

You really need to pull the machine out to see if it is leaking from the hoses. They normally would go where the hose goes into the pipework. If this is the case a couple of new washers is all you need
:confused:I have nothing better to do!!!!

If the water is not coming from the hoses put a newspaper just under the door & under the machine 6 to 12 inches. If the paper is wet after a cycle then I would say you have a leaking door seal.
  • check hoses (you can buy new washing machine washers from B&Q etc)

Check filter (usually little door at the front), refer to your washing machine instructions.
    baldly going on...

Also check your pump. We had to replace ours last week.
  • You could also check that the clip that holds the door seal on hasn't come loose. Ours was leaking and when I checked the clip had somehow come forward on part of the door seal...

    Hi Kimberley,
When my machine leaked recently I discovered that it was the dispenser tray that had become clogged up and stopping some of the water going through. The excess water then overflowed and ran down the front of my machine over the door and initially looked exactly like a leaking door seal. I could see water wasn't coming from the back as there was a tell-tale water mark running down the front to the pool on the floor. Check both dispenser tray and door seal as they are popular points of leakage! If you stand and watch a rinse cycle, you should be able to see if it's either of these. Good luck!
