Anyone know anything about paypal micropayments? FINALLY an intelligent response!

I can't tell you how painful it is trying to get paypal to convert my account to micropayments (low fees for low value purchases) It's like pulling teeth.

I know it's possible to convert an existing account because I've been chatting to another ebayer who did it, some months back. Since then it seems everyone at paypal has decided to start acting dumb - they keep telling me I have to open another account. That's not going to happen, as I already have two.

Does anyone have any dazzling insights?

Finally... an intelligent response! Mary is DEFINITELY the person to speak to. (The ebayer I was chatting to recommended her)

    Dear Fay,

Thank you for contacting PayPal. We apologize for the delay in responding
    to your service request.

Fay, I apologize for the confusion. I understand you wanted your account
changed to a Micropayments account. I have now activated your account with PayPals micropayments pricing of 5% + 0.05 GBP. Please note that all UK to UK payments coming into that account will be charged at the 5% + 0.05 GBP rate (plus any applicable charges posted at paypal.com, such as "cross border" or "foreign exchange" fees as appropriate) so you may want to open a separate account to process higher value transactions if you have not done that already.

Please contact us immediately if you were not aware that all payments would be processed at the 5% + 0.05 GBP rate, and you would like your transaction fees reset to your previous rate.

Please let me know if you need further assistance.

    Sincerely,
    Mary
