Quick Update:
Insurance company finally got back to me today. The Glass Guide print out I sent them cannot be used for insurances purposes apparently and the price they got from Glass's over the phone is £500 less
I said that they were wrong in the first place to justify the costs using AutoTrader Ads (as specified from FOS) but they said they were giving my market price. FOS states that market price is that from a guide that is "retail price". The original ad they sent was from a private seller! Most infuriating!
ANYWAY, I said I still cannot accept the claim and would call the Glass's Guide myself with the number the insurance provided (£1.50 per min - eek). The next step is the case is passed to the manager I think.
They also said I could no longer drive the hire car as of last friday so I have borrowed a car from work, yet the it has still not been collected! Total shambles0
