first off, utorrent is running on system startup, won't help.

download CCLeaner, run both cleaner and registry cleaner parts, then go into tools > system startup and disable utorrent.

Tick and Fix the entries in HJT that end with no file or file missing.

Do this and post a fresh HJT log. You may need to run LSPfix, but first steps first :)
    ......Gettin' There, Wherever There is......

I have a dodgy "i" key, so ignore spelling errors due to "i" issues, ...I blame Apple :D
  • Please post the malwarebytes log despite it being clean so we can check: Under LOGS and find the relevant date.

Hijackthis seems fine to me (apart from utorrent which is not advisable).
  • ok, have done ccleaner, deleted the 2 entries on hijack with "no file", deleted utorrent. heres my latest malaware bytes:

laptop is slow or internet connection is slow? If the latter, which isp? utorrent is still running.

    how much ram is installed

you could try avast instead of mse.

Is it slow if you take the battery out and run off mains?

have had issues with them on occasion on some machines, just belt'n'braces really..you do not HAVE to change anything with LSPfix, but it can on occasion show up other issues when run.
