Perspex double glazing

Hi I would like to find a cheap source for perspex or cheap alternative to use as double glazing. My brother did his with some stuff he got from work (sadly doesn't work there anymore) and some velcro to hold it in place and it worked a treat.
I have to have something temporary like this as we have listed buildings where we can't do a thing and also I cant afford anything better.
Any ideas on where to get some cheap stuff would be great.
Cheers Alison.

I think the kind of thing you're looking for is supplied by https://www.diyplastics.com - they sell rigid perspex and plastic sheeting which can be used as secondary glazing. Before you criticise a man, walk a mile in his shoes. Wickes do various size sheets of it - its fairly easy to cut to size, just score it with a sharp knife and snap it!

Perspex is expensive for this use and so poylcarbonate should be cheaper, I'd steer well clear of the diy stores as it will be expensive.
You might be able to pick up some 2.5mm clear perspex cheap, the thinner it is the cheaper it is.
If you are not bothered about the quality ask if they have any seconds, you could try http://www.perspexdistribution.co.uk/0 -
Thanks very much for your replys. This gives me something to work on. I will price them up.
