Buyer did not sign the document on buying the car
My friend had to return to US on an emergency basis and in a haste sold his car for £50 to a garage near him. Later today he told me that the buyer did not actually sign the place where he was supposed to in the car reg document (left page). Is this ok or does he need to follow this up?

Surely as long as the seller sends off their bit with with the buyers details ( as it is a garage that is not hard to find) then it should be ok. I haven't done a V5 in about 6 months but I am sure all I had to send was a really small bit confirming it had been sold and I don't seem to remember the buyers having to sign that bit.

you should send the big bit it has a red box on it for two signitures the small bit goes to the new owner of the car kinda like a receipt0
