Champions League Final Football Tickets

How do you buy these?

The UEFA website says they go on sale in March, but I assume they are going to be one of these ones that go on sale and then sell out within an hour!!!

Is there an official ticket office. I'm quite worried about getting stung by a tout company.

And finally, what sort of price is it for a bog standard ticket?

Thanks for your help

Just in case there are any footy fans around at this time of night instead of middle of the day :-)

Good luck, I would say your best chance is if 2 non English teams reach the final and even then it's still not going to be easy. Last year in Madrid, 75,000 capacity it was 21,000 to both clubs and 11,000 available to the "general public". Prices from €300-€90 +$25 handling fee.

Details of 2010 arrangements HERE Slightly more as it's Wembley but unless you are affiliated to one of the finalists then it aint gonna be easy.

The tickets that go on general sale through UEFA website in previous years have been through an application process which then drawn out in a lottery. Uefa will send an e-mail whether you are successful or not.

Personally from 2000-2004 I was lucky enough to get tickets by getting a successful application for 3 out of the 4 years. It did not matter to me who was in the final as the stadiums were great San Siro, Schalke and Hampden Park.Sadly these days there is probably a lot more people applying for tickets probably due to the success of the English clubs so less chance of being successful.

Anyway good luck all when the application process opens.

There is always hope, maybe not a lot but worth a go. At least with the window/ballot system you wont have to be on line at 9.01 on a wednesday, or whatever only to find the site crashes.
  • You may as well try it. Who knows when it will be back in the UK again? It wasn't that long ago when it was in Hampden Park, Glasgow.

Details here for this years tickets.

11,000 available in the ballot but prices start at £150 plus £26 admin fee. I'd love to go but at those prices I'll be watching on the telly.

Was hoping to take my lad, as Barca are his "good" team, obviously no guarantees they will reach the final and for £400 we could have a weekend in Barcelona and take in a game there too.

A much better option. We went last year and as long as you don't want to go to the Real Madrid or Espanyol game then tickets are fairly easy to get old of. From memory they go on sale 1 month in advance from the official Barca website. Atmosphere is awsome and the stadium tour/museum is a must if you are interested in that sort of thing.
