PPI reclaim questions

Has anyone else ever been charged for credit card protection payment without being asked? Its just happened to me with Egg Card. They told me it would take 8 weeks to investigate! Anyone got any tips on how do this faster and whether i should contact the financial ombudsman to complain?

hi all, i recently had a letter from Egg stating my claim had been upheld but they couldn't calculate the payment due to the Judicial Review, i checked and found this to be in breach of the rules and e-mailed them to ask them to continue and calculate my offer, they responded 2 days later stating the same thing as before.
is it worth going to the FOS as i believe they fast track upheld claims and is the judicial review likely to go in our favour, i assume legal opinion is already sought.
