Help with costs of neutering a dog help please

Options
Well a !!!!! to be exact. My Mums friend claim Wtc and Ctc and she has been advised to get her little lady snipped.
Can anyone please advise if any help is availabe to her with the costs. The vet has said it will be £130 approx.
It was that when we had a puppy done earlier on last year.
We are in the East Midlands - Leicestershire
There is locally the CPL who offer reduced prices for anyone on benefits or not but thats for cats
I know she should have budgeted for this
Many Thanks

  • Who gave the advice to have the dog spayed, and is it a matter of urgency for some reason? i.e, if the 'friend' cannot afford to do it immediately, can they not save up for a few weeks to have it done?

I would think this friend qualifies for help from the PDSA - have they looked into that?

In case there is no financial help forthcoming, your mother's friend should talk to her vet. Some vets will offer a short pay over time (usually 2 to 3 months) for those on benefits or very low wages to spay a dog.

As above the dogs trust run a voucher scheme, also the PDSA will help if they have a Vet in your area. You can check it out here.
