Sorry if this has been discussed before... but... it seems to me that feedback on Ebay is becoming a complete waste of time! Sorry if that seems a bold statement but for example, i won an item 4 weeks ago, when the item eventually arrived it was the wrong thing! i contacted the seller, who told me to send it back at my own expense and he would despatch the right item. Alas to say 3 weeks after sending it back and many emails from the seller in reply to mine saying that he would send the right item "tommorow" i have now opended up a dispute. Now getting back to my original topic, if i leave bad feedback for him, he'll just retaliate by doing the same  and bang goes my 100% feedback that took 4 years to build up! Makes me think it's not worth leaving bad feedback over an item that cost £4, it's just i'd rather no-one else got caught out like i did

Well, if you don't leave feedback to warn about a bad seller, there's a good chance someone else WILL get caught out.
It's a personal decision really... do you warn your fellow ebayers? Or worry about a red dot on a screen? My TV is broken!

I lost my 100% because of an idiot. If he leaves bad feedback you can leave a follow up most people know there are idiots and 1 bad feedback will not make a difference. I would wait until the last day you can leave feedback and do it then0

Remember, factual feedback is the key.
"After 1 week buyer sent wrong CD. Sent back - Still no item after 4 weeks."
I mean, what can the seller say? Whatever it is he'll look like a muppet if he leaves any sort of rant, plus you follow up his comments.
(so if he's all "buyer rantblahrantblah" you follow up with "seller cannot even admit his error - abusive and disorganised" or something similar.)It's BOUGHT (to Buy), not BROUGHT (to bring) AND you cannot be frauded, only DEfrauded.
Please do not buy animals from a pet store. Visit your local sanctuary or centre and give a good home to an unloved or abandoned animal.0 -
I have a feeling that ebay has changed the rules on feedback now, if you have opened a dispute with ebay any neg feedback left will be taken off both yours and his but the comments will remain, and if he leaves awful feedback don't forget you can reply to the feedback.0

To clarify...
If a seller opens a non paying buyer dispute, and the buyer doesn't reply, the buyer will not be able to leave feedback. The key thing is - if they reply, they can leave whatever they like.
Not sure how it works for other kinds of disputes. My TV is broken!
